A golden envelope, a blush-pink palette, and a distinctly Venetian point of view: René Caovilla brought its world of handcrafted footwear to Bal Harbour Shops.
The boutique opening marked another step in the brand’s international growth. Designed by the Italian architect duo Bonelli Radovic of m2atelier, the space encompassed more than 1,200 square feet, blending modern elegance with the house’s heritage and creativity.

A Venetian
Point of View
The design’s defining gesture was a golden envelope conceived to evoke the brand’s Venetian origins. Hand-crafted gold wall finishes continued from the exterior into the interior, complemented by golden galvanic details, reflective fabrics, and a grey carpet with a silk effect.
A large oval pink velvet sofa brought softness to the space. At the entrance, the Caovilla logo provided the first point of contact for visitors, framing an interior designed to feel enveloping, modern, and youthful.

An Exclusive
Bal Harbour Edit
At its opening, the boutique housed René Caovilla’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection alongside exclusive colorways of iconic Caovilla styles created especially for this location.
The boutique’s announced opening date was Monday, November 9, 2020, at 9700 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour, Florida 33154.
The Art of the Shoe
Founded in Venice in 1934 by Edoardo Caovilla, the house built its identity around handcrafted elegance. Its approach combines artisan skills with innovative techniques, and tradition with research—a focus on quality and detail that had shaped the brand for more than eight decades at the time of this opening.
