On the Miami River, Seaspice is opening a new way to dine in the heart of Miami. Seaspice Omakase by Chef Wu debuts November 5, bringing Japanese cuisine into the restaurant’s riverfront setting.

The experience is designed around two distinct moods. At the omakase counter, nine guests take a seat for a 14-course, chef-led progression. The intimate format places diners close to the preparation, with each course unfolding at the chef’s pace and inviting attention to technique, texture, and timing. The menu moves between hot and cold, raw and cooked, seafood, fish, and meat. Ingredients are described by Seaspice as exceptional and flown fresh from Japan.

Omakase TableA more social, flexible dining experience

For those who prefer a more social evening, the adjoining à la carte dining room offers another way to explore the same Japanese culinary focus. Guests can settle at individual tables and enjoy the menu at their own pace, with the Miami River as the backdrop. It is a thoughtful pairing: the precision of a small counter and the ease of a full dining room, connected by one destination.

That contrast gives the opening its appeal. Omakase is often associated with close attention and a carefully paced sequence; here, guests can choose how immersive they want the evening to be. The counter’s nine seats make the experience feel personal, while the table option opens the concept to groups and diners looking for a more flexible night out.

With Seaspice Omakase, the restaurant adds a new culinary chapter to its established waterfront address at 412 NW North River Drive. The setting remains unmistakably Miami, but the meal turns toward Japan—an encounter between river views, attentive hospitality, and a menu built course by course. From November 5, diners can reserve either the counter or the table and decide which version of the experience suits them.
