Halloween,
in Full Color

Bold style. A vibrant setting. A celebration with meaning.

Miami does Halloween with a little heat: saturated color, statement dressing and a backdrop worth stepping out for. At CityPlace Doral, towering skeletons, floral garlands and a canopy of intricate decorations offer inspiration for a weekend that feels as expressive as the city itself.

Start with the palette. Orange, fuchsia, turquoise and purple turn the familiar seasonal mood into something exuberant. For an evening look, pair a sleek black foundation with one accent: sculptural earrings, a bright bag or a dramatic lip. Let the photographs inspire your color choices, with personal style taking the lead.

The same approach works at home. Build a gathering around richly colored flowers, dark table linens and warm lighting. Layer texture and color with intention, leaving room for conversation, shared plates and the people who make an evening memorable. Think Miami dinner party with a theatrical flourish.

That visual energy also opens the door to a celebration with deeper meaning. Distinct from Halloween, Día de los Muertos honors loved ones who have died through remembrance and celebration. CityPlace Doral’s fifth annual event brings that spirit to the Fountain Plaza on Sunday, November 1, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The free, family-friendly afternoon includes cultural performances, an El Mercado vendor market, food sampling, a face gem station and photo opportunities. Folkloric dance and mariachis bring the celebration to life. Arrive ready to explore, linger over the details and enjoy a different rhythm after Halloween night.

The installations remain on view through November 3, giving visitors time to discover the oversized fountain skeletons, butterfly bench and colorful boulevard. Find it all at 8300 NW 36th Street in Doral; garage parking costs extra. For MSM readers, the appeal is a weekend that moves naturally between style, culture and connection, with Miami’s unmistakable love of color running through it.
